Overview

The Human Resources Supervisor oversees daily HR operations and supports management in implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs. This role supervises HR staff, ensures compliance with employment laws, and serves as a key contact for employee relations, onboarding, performance management, and benefits administration.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide guidance to HR staff, ensuring accurate and timely completion of HR functions
  • Support recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, interviewing, and hiring
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive employee experience
  • Administer employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
  • Assist with performance management processes, evaluations, and employee development initiatives
  • Support benefits administration, leave management, and HRIS data accuracy
  • Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and training programs
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and management to promote a positive workplace culture

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll coordination
  • Experience supporting leadership in organizational development initiatives
