Overview

The Seasonal Show Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of live shows and performances. This position involves coordinating with various Entertainment departments, managing performers, and ensuring that all performance aspects are in place. This Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the successful execution of shows, requiring excellent planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with various departments including lighting, sound, and staging to ensure all show elements are ready for the performance

• Manage and supervise performers during rehearsals and live performances

• Follow all rehearsal and show schedules, ensuring all timelines are met

• Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

• Resolve any performance issues that arise during rehearsals or live shows

• Communicate with performers, directors, and Six Flags Leadership to ensure smooth operations

• Provide training and guidance to new hires

• Evaluate show performance and provide feedback for improvement

• Ensure all show-related documentation is accurate and up to date

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate’s/ Bachelor's degree or related experience in Theater Production, Event Management, or a similar field

• Extensive experience in live event production or show operations

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Familiarity with health and safety regulations pertaining to live events

• Problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred

• Previous experience in a supervisory role in show operations or event management

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in using scheduling and project management software

• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Strong problem-solving abilities, including how to handle unexpected situations

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and Leadership

 

Bonus Skills (not required)

· Experience as a Vocal Director and/or Choreographer
